Bielefelders
German engineering at its best; the Bielefelder was developed in Bielefelder Germany in the early 1970's by a poultry breeder named Gerd Roth. Roth used a number of breeds in the development of the Bielefelder including New Hampshire, cuckoo Malines and Amrock Wyandotte. Bielefelders consistently lay the largest brown eggs of most any chicken breed. If you could choose only one breed of chicken for both egg production, egg size, and meat; this would be the one. Also, Bielefelders are auto-sexing. Day-old chicks can be easily sexed based on their feather color patterns.
We usually have pullets and hens available most of the time. We also keep some roosters available.

Cream Legbars
Cream Legbars are the most popular auto-sexing chicken breed in the world. These birds were a hidden secret in Great Britain, but no more. They were first introduced in London in 1947. Legbars are a medium-sized chicken that are known for their foraging ability and being able to survive on the range. Hens are rarely broody and lay large numbers of blueish/green eggs. Cream Legbars can lay up to 250 beautiful pastel eggs. Auto-sexing breeds like the Legbars have visually sex distinguishable chicks generation after generation. Most of the females have a feather tuft on top of their heads.
